I Challenge You!

Got my dueling boots on and everything.
Woot! Story a Day in May is swiftly approaching.  I officially challenge y'all to join me and a band of piratical fantastical writers in attempting to climb Mount Crazy.  Some of you are on the fence about this. It is going to be great.

What's the worst that could happen? You flunk out horribly and end up with a mere five or six new short stories under your belt by the end of May? That's five or six stories you don't have right now.

Those stories need to be written, and you are just the ones to do it. Rules over here. Sign up. Do it. Do it now.

Wow - if that picture doesn't get people to accept the challenge I don't know what will..... :)

Is that Sean Connery?

@Laurie: It is awesome, is it not?

@kmckendry: It is indeed. The film is Zardoz. It is one of the most (unintentionally) hilarious things I have ever seen.

Heehee, Sean Connery in that outfit is absolutely priceless. <3

The fun thing about Zardos is that it could've made a good movie if they had more budget, and didn't cram so much plot in a single movie. As it is now, well, it is indeed just hilarious.

I need to see this movie. And figure out how in the heck Sean Connery got into my closet...

@Claudie: I will have to watch it again. As I recall it's one of those movies that is a mish-mash of potentially great ideas and pure cheese.

@Jeigh: He'll do that, Mr. Connery. He'll snatch the red gitch and matching gunbelts / suspenders away so fast, you won't know what happened.

I remember seeing parts of that film, very vaguely. I think my mother and I saw it in a theatre, and she kept her hand over my eyes most of the time.
Your May challenge sounds like a fun idea though - I'm in!

oh elizabeth! sean connery in an orange man-kini (with a gun! holy freud!) is almost enough to get me to sign up, but not quite, I'm afraid. No, I mean literally, I'm afraid. I suck at short stories. The long-form novel is for me. But best of luck, I'll be rooting for you!

@Lisa: you are a Dangerous Mind, and officially part of my sidebar.

@Magpie: you could always try!
