There's Twenty Dollars on the Kitchen Counter, Order Yourselves Some Pizza

...remember to collect the mail and water the fern. We'll be back on Tuesday night.

Did your parents leave notes like this for you when they were going away? Mine did.

This is all to say that I'll be doing like this this weekend, and will therefore be less than blogtastic. In the meantime, don't forget to drop by Fantasy Writer Guy's place. He's been posting about his adventures with the medical establishment. I think he's out of the hospital now, but I'm sure he'd love some sympathy and attention for his hilarious and harrowing stories starring himself, Dr. Kalvorkliancubansandwich, and Nurse Sinister-Impaler.

If you're in need of intellectual stimulation, join the apocalypse watch at Matt Cardin's Teeming Brain.

Weigh in on Kim Koning's thoughts on trusting your first instincts in your writing.

Be good, everybody. If you can't be good, be your usual brilliant selves.

Wait, the choice is good or brilliant? Well, heck, I'll choose brilliant every time.

No notes for me as I can remember, mam always was at home after I came back from school.... interesting links to do some reading when I come home from my 'sweety'.

Have a great weekend.

Jan's place... if you like to visit me...

They may have left notes as a cover but I couldn't read them being locked up in a dark closet all weekend. LOL

Have a fun break. I'm traveling myself, down south to my niece's wedding.

Ha! A note? Whenever my Mum went away (even when she left my Dad in charge) she left a notebook with notes for what to do every single day. When the bins went out, when the milk was delivered, reminding us daily to unplug everything at night!

That note looks very familiar. Looking forward to having you back.

Brilliant it is!

Typically my folks only left notes if they were out of town for the weekend or longer. It was my job to take care of the dog.

In the days before wireless phones, it was tough to order a pizza from in there.

It was crazy up there, but good. Crazy warm weather: basically, summer busted out in the course of three days. We went from zero to dragonflies everywhere in notime.

Hope you had a lovely visit with your family and a good trip.

That is sweet, in an uptight kind of way.

I did, I did!

Back I am, and none the worse for all the bug bites. (It's blackfly season, and the beginning of mosquito season, and the season of what the hell is that does it bite yes it does.)

Ta daaaa! I'm here!

Ooh! Thanks!
